Before Windows 95, the information about the hardware components and the installed software were stored in files that had .INI extension. These files were stored randomly in the memory and got corrupted in the course of time and when major portion of the hard disk got occupied by user data it become difficult for the operating system to locate the relevant information. The registry keys solved this problem since all the system settings information are now stored in the registry file and the operating system can easily access them whenever they are required.

But the registry file also gets corrupted or gets oversized in course of time and there are so many reasons behind them. First of the all the accumulation of registry keys that are generated every time we make any change to the system settings make the size of the registry heavier every day. Then of course there are fragmented entries that remain in the registry after incomplete installations or uninstallations of software. The embedded keys that are logged by the malware programs in the registry further clog up the registry. With all these errors in the registry the system becomes unstable and slower as the valid registry keys can not be promptly and properly accessed by the operating system.

Want a problem free computer performance? Fix registry errors

If you too are experiencing problems like automatic restarts, unusually slower PC performance and non responding programs, you need to fix registry the errors in the registry. The free registry fix software that is widely available over the internet is the best effective to way to repair the registry. They are easily available, easy to install and absolutely hassle free to use. You can use the free registry fix to scan the registry and it will automatically fix the registry errors.

Using Windows XP? Get XP registry fix software?

While downloading the registry cleaner software you need to make sure that you are downloading a compatible free registry fix tool. That means if you are using Windows XP you have to use a XP registry fix program. This is because each version of Windows has a specific way of maintaining the registry entries and hence the free registry fix tool must be designed according to the Windows version.

Unfortunately, registry problems are that much trickier to deal with and you’ll find that a lot of the time, even though you’ve removed a program, it still leaves some stray references in the core file of Windows files. This is a primary cause for a large number of registry problems. Nowadays with very technical scanning software, you can easily fix registry problems within short time. The primary reason to fix registry problems is so you won’t get to the point that your system will no longer run at all. Then it may be too late. All that is probably needed is a good registry scan software and you are good to go.

Problems with the Windows™ registry are a common cause of Windows™ crashes, slow performance and error messages. By using a registry cleaner regularly and fixing registry errors your system should not only be more stable but it will also help improve your system performance without expensive hardware upgrades. What this means is, before you go out and spend money on memory, try cleaning the registry first. It’s a cheap way to find out if that is all you need. Some people report that their computer has stopped crashing and is running at least 3 times faster than before. And those are pretty typical results. By using registry cleaners regularly your system should not only be more stable but it will run faster.

Because of poorly written or corrupted device drivers, bad memory or a memory conflict causing a crash, a damaged registry, or conflicting dll’s – most people would fault the PC in whole – when it is most likely the registry area. In Windows versions 95,98, and ME you may also get a message stating that there was a virtual device driver crash and it will give you the option to restart your computer. These errors that cause crashing, slowness, instability are generally because of registry problems. And it’s a quick fix – run the diagnostics tool, identify the precise problems in your Windows registry so you can determine exactly what your PC is suffering from. Any error or corruption of registry files can cause crash of the system or halt the system from time to time.

Eventually, when you don’t fix a slow or corrupt PC, it get relegated to the corner, or the kids work area and you buy something new. This is really a crime because registrys can be fixed and since they are only lines of code – they can be rewritten, or changed. Back in the day, we were bold and attempted to change registry settings ourselves – with some guides printed out from the Internet. But I can remember more than once crippling my computer to a stand still. Those were the days when if it didn’t work, you simply reinstalled Windows.

I guess what I’m trying to get at, is that you no longer have to go the road of trying and further frustrating yourself with a hack at your precious registry. Someone got smart and created software that first analyzes the settings in the registry. Then it tells you what it will do if you would like it to repair what it believes are errors. And someone was even sharp enough to create a registry backup before committing to changes. Man, I wish I would have thought of that!

So if you have been wondering if registry repair software is something you should try, yes – I’m going to recommend them to you. Simply because you can always revert.

As you can see, each time you run your registry cleaner, the registry does get backed up – not overwritten. This is very important, because there are some registry cleaners that actually overwrite the backed-up entry, each time. You don’t want that, because then you can only go back to the bad state you had before you started. You want to be able to go back from the first time you ran the software.

If you have any questions about registry cleaning and optimizing, simply drop me an email in our Contact Page. And thank you for your visit. I trust you learned something useful.

I couldn’t understand why my computer was so slow. I tried getting rid of the spyware and viruses, but I still couldn’t get it running the way I wanted. My computer kept crashing with “illegal operation” errors. At first I thought it was a virus, but my anti virus wasn’t able to find anything wrong.

When these entries are removed, your computer’s performance can be significantly increased. In fact, they guarantee it! Whether it’s incomplete uninstalls, failed installations, driver issues or spyware infections that are affecting your PC, Registry Easy will rid you of your computer problems in just minutes Put your PC back to work for you! You can defragment and compress your registry with the click of a mouse.

The heart of all this is the computer registry. It contains information and settings for all the hardware, software, users, and preferences of the computer. Whenever you make a change to the Control Panel settings, file associations, system policies, or installed software, the changes are reflected and stored in the registry. If you’ve been frustrated, I suggest the free Registry Fix scanner.

Don’t let your computer become unstable! Your system’s registry gradually becomes larger and larger over time, causing numerous windows error codes and slow PC performance. Giving your computer a reboot all the time? That a sign that registry errors are destroying your computer’s performance.

Your system registry holds a wealth of information about your computer, which is why we constantly hear from users that after using their PC for a short length of time, it no longer works the way it used to. This is due in part to invalid entries that exist in your system registry, that might exist because of software you are no longer using or software that was not properly removed. This is especially great for me as I am the Dummy they write books about for computer users. I would highly recommend this for the pro as well as the dummies of the world. Make your computer load faster.

Not to mention once you purchase the software once you can run it again and again. The Windows registry is something that needs to be checked once every 3-6 months, so having a tool on hand to fix registry repair errors is ideal. Is your computer running slow? If so, then you have errors in your registry.
